Sibiliana Viti Sensale Orange is a brand new and very special wine. It’s made with white Catarratto grape crafted into a delicious and refreshing take on orange wine. Orange wines are wines produced with white grapes, but vinified like red wines, with maceration (lasting from a few days to several months) of the must in contact with the skins and yeasts. This makes the wines very different from both whites and reds from a visual, olfactory and tactile point of view.
This wine has plenty of stone fruit, a touch of spice and bitterness but a good clean finish with bright acidity. It’s texturally soft and slightly honied, with some subtle scents of dried apricot and raisins.
It is crafted by the Cantine Europa cooperative under the Sibiliana label. One of largest wineries in Sicily, Sibiliana Vini uses the latest in modern winemaking technology to produce this range of wines from indigenous Sicilian grapes. These wines are a true reflection of the warm, sunny climate of western Sicily. Here, the grapes flourish in mineral-rich, well-drained soils. They embody both the tradition of Sicilian winemaking and the commitment to sustainable, organic agriculture.
