Taylor’s wines combine intensity with structure and as such are some of the longest lived wines of any vintage. Although the acidity and tannin are at the levels (and balance) one might expect from this wine, the quality of the vintage was such that the wine shows quite intense fruit and eucalyptus and spice aromas that make it more approachable that usual in its youth. This remains a wine for the cellar – and will improve for most of this century in proper conditions.
