Torres ‘Perpetual’ Priorat is a luxurious red wine from the Spanish region of Priorat, made using a blend of Garnacha and Cariñena grapes.
Perpetual is a wine born of time and terrain. The old Garnacha and Cariñena vines are between 80 and 100 years old and grow on steep, rocky slopes.
Priorat is a small yet singular wine region located in the province of Tarragona at the foot of the Sierra del Montsant. The region comprises towns and villages that were once under the dominion of the Carthusian Monastery of Escaladei.
Llicorella (slate) is the essence of this beautifully concentrated wine with a great personality. The parcels are small and located near several villages of El Priorat. They belong to local winegrowers but undergo rigorous controls to ensure that the fruit is of the highest quality. Perpetual is a tribute to the well-aging Priorat wines, intense, full of character and born to defeat time.
The wine is aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, adding complexity and depth to the fruity flavour.
Big, bold and rich red wine, defined by its aromatic edges of black fruits, spice, and then some meatiness. The Perpetual is a superb example of ready-to-drink Priorat and offers exceptional value for money.
