This Trois Rivières VO – Cuvée du Moulin rum is an aged rhum agricole, a tribute to the history of the Trois Rivières Plantation and to their traditional heritage.
It is the result of a careful blending of rums aged over three years in French oak casks and in American ex-Bourbon casks. The result is a full-bodied rum, with an elegant aroma profile of sweet spices and baked apples.
With its impeccable structure and balance, this classic AOC-certified Trois Rivières is overall sure to charm any rhum enthusiast. It won the gold medal at the 2011 General Agricultural Show in Paris and the silver medal in 2013.
Trois Rivières VO – Cuvée du Moulin is best enjoyed neat or with your favourite mixers in a rum-forward cocktail.
Tasting Notes
This rum is straw-yellow with slight flashes of gold. Full-bodied rum.
The initial aroma of this Trois Rivières old rum is dominated by sugar cane and elegant woody notes. White pepper and spices emerge after aeration.
It has an invigorating taste and a wonderful structure. The primary flavours of sugar then extend into notions of spice and white pepper.
The finish of this rum is long, with woody notes and an invigorating mineral quality, as well as a touch of allspice.
