Ironcloud Rock of Solitude Cabernet Sauvignon Malbec is a ripe, fruity and robust Australian blend with gentle notes of spicy French oak.

Ironcloud Estate (formerly Pepperilly Estate) lies in the picturesque Ferguson Valley, in the hills of the Geographe Wine Region, overlooking Geographe Bay, Western Australia.

The vines were planted in 1999 in highly prized red gravelly loam soils and the estate comprises of a single vineyard of 28 acres comprising hand-tended Grenache, Shiraz, Mourvedre, Malbec, Touriga, Saparavi, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon.

James Halliday gave the winery a rare five-star rating.

Ironcloud Estate machine-harvested the Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec grapes, then fermented them in stainless steel tanks. The ferments were pumped over twice a day. Post alcoholic fermentation, it was pressed to tank before racking off to barrel for malolactic fermentation and maturation. Winemakers then blended the wine together, and fined, filtered and bottled it.

Enjoy Ironcloud Rock of Solitude Cabernet Sauvignon Malbec with flavoursome casseroles like osso bucco.
