Palacio Del Camino Real Rioja Reserva is a classically rich, fruity and spicy Rioja produced in Spain. It’s medium-bodied and very smooth. This is perfect for lovers of Spanish wine.
The winemaker, José Miguel Arambarri, from La Rioja, planted the vineyard in 1999 to revive his ancestors’ wine business. Since then, he has acquired a large number of vineyards and wineries, and his sons have joined him in business. Today, the business, Vintae, produces wines in 15 Denominations of Origin, and boasts a young and innovative team of over 50 employees.
Once reserved for royalty, wine lovers now widely admire Rioja thanks to the preservation of its tradition by dedicated winemakers.
The colour is a deep garnet hinting at its age and follows on to a mature, complex nose. This wine’s blend of red grapes native to the region creates a nose of soft black fruits, spices and truffles, and a palate of juicy berry with perfectly poised acidity. After fermentation, the wine spends 20 months aging in French and American oak barrels, imbuing it with a spicy kick. Further aging in the bottle has softened the tannins to a gentle touch.
