Veuve Goudoulin Bas Armagnac 1975 is a vintage Armagnac, produced by Armagnac Veuve Goudoulin.

Officially known as Armagnac J. Goudoulin, they are producers of Bas Armagnac located in Courrensan, in the Gers region of South-West France.

The house was founded in 1935 by Jeanne Ménal Goudoulin. Through her marriage, Jeanne acquired the estate and dedicated herself to creating high-quality Armagnac, establishing a strong reputation for excellence over the decades.

Veuve Goudoulin specialises in traditional methods of Armagnac production, employing continuous distillation of carefully selected white wines from the region. The spirits are then aged in oak barrels, which give the Armagnac its rich amber colour and complex flavour profile. This meticulous ageing process develops notes of vanilla, caramel, and spices, resulting in a smooth and well-balanced character.

The range includes expressions such as VSOP (Very Superior Old Pale), XO (Extra Old), and a selection of vintage Armagnacs.

Tasting Notes of Veuve Goudoulin Bas Armagnac 1975:

This Bas Armagnac is golden amber colour with green hues.

On the nose, it reveals animalistic and spicy notes, complemented by hints of roasted coffee.

The palate is broad, characterised by woody undertones, while a slightly bitter finish adds a touch of freshness.
