Nuits-Saint-Georges Albert Bichot is a delightfully smooth Pinot Noir made in one of the most iconic regions of Burgundy by a prolific producer.
Nuits-Saint-Georges, which gave the Côte de Nuits its name, almost exclusively focuses on production of red wines from the Pinot Noir grape.
The Nuits-Saint-Georges “village” area of ​​appellation covers 163.5 ha in the village of Nuits and 11.8 ha in Prémeaux-Prissey Variations in exposure to the sun and in soil types between the vineyards, located to the south and north of Nuits-Saint-Georges yield considerably diverse wine.
These grapes grew in deep limestone soil containing pebbly silt. Producers handpicked them then fermented them in temperature-controlled conical oak vats for 18-21 days.
Enjoy Nuits-Saint-Georges Albert Bichot with roasted or stewed meats (beef, lamb, duck, game), or with medium to mature cheeses. Alternatively, if you’re feeling patient, this wine will age for a further five to seven years in the cellar.
The nose opens up to aromas of forest undergrowth and mushroom as well as notes of red fruit.
On the palate, this delicately oaked wine features notes of gingerbread and cherry with a harmonious balance.
The finish is long and intensely aromatic, evocative of red fruit and spices. The tannins are velvety and smooth.
