Three famous winemakers—Jesus Madrazo, Susana Fernandez, and Miguel Angel Muro—created Majada de Reyes, drawing on their inspiration and vision.

Combining their ideas, experience, and expertise in viticulture, fermentation, and maturation, this trio crafted a stunning Garnacha wine. It is full of expression and beautifully reflects the natural freshness and vibrancy of the grapes grown in Valle del Najerilla in Rioja Alta.

They recommend decanting the wine before serving.

On October 21st, 2021, they handpicked the grapes, placing them in 500 kg boxes. At the winery, they passed the grapes through a selection table and then destemmed them.

Fermentation occurred in a stainless steel tank at a controlled temperature of 22ºC for 8 days, with very light pumping overs.

Next, they used a vertical press to maintain the quality of the process. Malolactic fermentation occurred in second-year 500-liter French oak barrels.

The vintage wine remained in these barrels for 9 months. This wine comes from a historic Garnacha vineyard planted over 100 years ago.

Producer’s Tasting Notes

Colour:  Middle layer red and garnet edging. It is clean and bright.

Smell:  High intensity wine, elegant, very varietal, sincere, and with a great aromatic complexity. Sweet
nuances such as dry apricots, red rose flowers, minerals and red fruits are present.

Taste:  It is a frank wine, with soft and silky entry; during its evolution in the mouth, citrus touches that
give freshness appear to later move to minerals and mature tannin. Lactic sensations are appreciated in
the aftertaste.

Grape Variety – 100% century-old red Garnacha dating back to 1904.
