Cà dei Maghi Recioto della Vapolicella Classico is a beautifully rich sweet red wine from the Veneto region of Italy.
The producer Cà dei Maghi is a small farm in the hills of Valpolicella making very small quantities of the most exquisite wines. Led by Paolo Creazzi, the winery mainly produces famous red wines, including Valpolicella, Ripasso and Amarone. This sweet wine is a cornerstone of their range.
The grape used in the production of this Recioto were harvested by hand in the second week of October, then dried for 6 months before fermentation took place in steel tanks.
The wine then rests for five years, first in big oak barrels and then again in steel tanks until bottling.
Enjoy Cà dei Maghi Recioto della Vapolicella Classico with a cheeseboard and Italian cold cuts of meat, or alternatively a chocolate-based desserts like black forest gateau. Serve at room temperature.
Colour: Intense red colour with light garnet tinges.
Nose: Intense and uniquely complex aroma with hints of red fruits under spirit, sweet spices and rose petals.
Palate: Sweet but not cloying flavour with an enviable aftertaste of cherry, leaving a lasting impression of its exceptional quality.
