Château Haut Barrail Cru Bourgeois Médoc is a beautifully rich red Bordeaux from one of the region’s premium producers. The estate’s wines enjoy a strong reputation for their assertive character and their development. They have a refined and elegant character, with a striking aromatic richness.

In the north of Médoc, Château Haut Barrail, located in Bégadan, has existed since 1362. Today, the winemaker Cyril Gillet remains dedicated to preserving the estate’s quality and history.

The vineyard grows on clay-limestone terroir and extends over 15 hectares planted with Merlot (70%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (30%).

Grapes are destemmed and crushed and then fermented under temperature control for 2-3 weeks. The wine is then pressed and goes through Malolactic Fermentation. The wine sees 80% new French oak for 12-15 months depending on the vintage. The remaining barrels are 1-2 years old. The barrels change yearly. The result is an elegant and seductive wine of finesse and great length.

Enjoy Château Haut Barrail Cru Bourgeois Médoc with powerful roast meats or a rich boeuf bourguignon. It will also reward careful cellaring for the next several years.
