Jose Cuervo Reserva de la Familia Platino is an unaged tequila with perfect balance and unmatched smoothness.
Cuervo’s unique “Esencia de Agave” production method ensures the pure agave notes from the piñas, or hearts of the agave plants, come through intensely in aroma and flavour.
For over 250 years, Jose Cuervo has been making tequila from the largest agave holdings in the world. The journey begins in the fields on the skirts of the Tequila Volcano. After seven years of maturation, the agave plants are harvested and their “piñas,” are sent to the La Rojeña distillery, where they are roasted, grinded, and smashed. The resulting extract then enters into fermentation tanks. Finally, master tequileros distil and sometimes age it to perfection in toasted barrels.

Producer’s Tasting Notes
Nose: Pepper, honeyed agave on the nose with a hint of apple and parsley.
Palate: A unique, sweet and spicy palate with notes of melon, honey and hay.
Finish: Medium and crisp with notes of chamomile and then cinnamon.
