The Lakes Classic Gin is a distinctively English gin with vibrant notes of juniper, cracked black pepper and orange peel. It’s a core part of the Lakes Distillery‘s range, embodying a grain-to-glass ethos.
Distillers elevate the flavour by using only a select few botanicals, gently infusing them in the finest British wheat spirit, distilling in a traditional copper pot still. They only use the purest water from their Lake District National Park home in a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
By steeping the botanicals overnight like loose-leaf tea, they interact freely with the warm spirit to encourage the essential oils to release more slowly, protecting their delicate nature. The traditional copper pot still then runs slow and long to extract the maximum amount of flavour. It’s then bottled at 46% ABV.
The end result is an exceptionally smooth classic London dry gin. Oily orange citrus underpin notes of piney juniper, with a touch of lemon and then a black pepper finish.
