Marrone Nebbiolo D’Alba Superiore Agrestis is a beautifully rich and spci Italian red wine from one of the finest independent producers in Piemonte.
For over a century, four generations of this family’s passion, tenacity, and hard work have been dedicated to producing fine wine.
Marrone honours its rich tradition while always looking towards the future.
The vineyards are situated in Madonna di Como, Alba, facing southeast at an altitude of 380 metres.
The soil, containing more clay than silt and sand, is rich in calcium carbonate. This combination allows the Nebbiolo vines to thrive, completing their growth cycle without water stress and with controlled vigour.
This type of soil gives the wine longevity, freshness, elegance, and a distinctive character.
The grapes were harvested by hand then, after fermentation, aged in wood for 18-20 months.

Ruby red colour with an orange rim.
The nose offers some wood, dry spices, red fruit, cherry liqueur and tar.
The palate is fairly dense, with a youthful texture, a tannic bite, good grip and length, deserving another few years of ageing. Drinkable in shorter time compared to a Barolo, with great satisfaction, but versatile.
