The Lakes Pink Grapefruit Gin is a vibrant and energetic gin distilled in the Lake District National Park.
Distinctively zesty pink grapefruit vigour meets the resounding juniper notes of the classic Lakes Gin in an exciting new flavour combination. It’s a lively addition to the Lakes Distillery‘s core range.
Distillers elevate the flavour by using only a select few botanicals, gently infusing them in the finest British wheat spirit, distilling in a traditional copper pot still. They only use the purest water from their Lake District National Park home in a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
By steeping the botanicals overnight like loose-leaf tea, they interact freely with the warm spirit to encourage the essential oils to release more slowly, protecting their delicate nature. The traditional copper pot still then runs slow and long to extract the maximum amount of flavour.
Bursting with uplifting citrus notes and refreshingly tangy pink grapefruit flavour, this gin is recommended served in a simple G&T with FeverTree Mediterranean Tonic Water and plenty of ice.
Tasting Notes
Nose: pink grapefruit and juniper are evident.
Palate: this truly embodies its pink grapefruit name, delivering zesty pink grapefruit layers. Then, notes of crisp juniper, black pepper and citrus follow.
Finish: the citrus lingers beautifully.
