This is an immensely concentrated wine made with Garnacha (Grenache) vine stock that is close to 100 years old. There is the addition of some Syrah that was planted more recently and is reminiscent of some of the Rhône valley’s most powerful red wines. It is a dense ruby colour and shows aromas of blackcurrant, blueberry and roast coffee on the nose. The palate is full with powerful tannic structure that cries out for a pairing with red meat. This is a wine to savour over a meal and will reward decanting before drinking and can be cellared for up to a decade.
