Warramate Pinot Noir is an aromatic, juicy Australian red wine with a beautiful structure, produced in the Yarra Valley.

Established in 1970, Warramate Wines sits on a spectacular north-facing slope overlooking the central Yarra Valley.

Today Yarra Yerring winemaker Sarah Crowe produces the wines, after Yarra Yerring bought Warramate in 2011.

The 5 acre plot of Pinot Noir was planted in 2000 and is entirely the MV6 clone. These vines benefit from the sheltering effects of aspect & bordering windbreaks.

The vines are generally spared over-exposure to hot northerly winds and late-afternoon sun in summer which aids in the development and accumulation of delicate, perfumed fruit characteristics.

The producers farm all Warramate vines without irrigation.

Enjoy Warramate Pinot Noir with hearty meat dishes. Drink whilst young and bright, or age in cellar for a further five years.

Producer’s Tasting Notes:

A highly perfumed aroma of violets, the fruit profile of vibrant red and dark cherries, and aniseed spice.

A hint of stalk heightens the spice element sitting in the medium weighted silky characteristic of Pinot Noir, but with good concentration. A very refreshing elegant fruit palate.

Some stalk tannin and minimal new oak (20%) offer background structure and support the fruit, offering cigar box oak notes.
