La Dame d’Angludet Margaux is a luscious red Bordeaux blend containing Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon from one of the region’s classic vineyards.
Situated on a plateau of Garonne gravel, the vineyard of Château Angludet overlooks the low terraces of the Gironde estuary. The gravelly, sandy soil has good drainage, fostering concentration, finesse and elegance in the wines. Angludet’s wines enjoy a worldwide reputation for their elegance, aromatic finesse and their exceptional ageing potential.
La Dame d’Angludet is the new name given to the second wine from Château Angludet.
It has good weight with plummy red fruit character, some structure and is soft and approachable. Supple dark fruits, licorice and spice notes complement assertive but ripe tannins that ensure this wine is enjoyable when young but will also allow further maturation. Overall, the wine is beautifully characteristic of Margaux.
Produced from the estates younger vines, La Dame d’Angludet offers the best quality for price in the entire Margaux appellation. It provides dazzling aromatic expression and gentle extract, which is sustained but delicate.
Ageing: 12 months of ageing – 50% oak barrels (30% new), 50% amphorae
Blend: Cabernet Sauvignon – 50% Merlot – 40% Petit Verdot – 10%
