🇪🇸 Rioja – Bodegas Martínez Lacuesta Rioja Blanco Barrel Fermented

A fresh, elegant and characterful white Rioja made from Viura at the historic Bodegas Martínez Lacuesta in Haro, founded in 1895.

The wine spends three months ageing on its lees in a combination of new American oak, French oak and acacia barrels, creating a distinctive balance between freshness, fruit and subtle oak complexity. Aromas of citrus, apple, banana, nectarine and mandarin are complemented by light spice and delicate toasted oak.

On the palate, it is crisp and energetic, with a touch of creaminess from the lees ageing and a persistent, fruity finish. A versatile Spanish white wine that works beautifully with roast pork, fried fish and zingy rice salads.

🇪🇸 Rías Baixas – Pazos de Lusco Albariño

From the Condado do Tea sub-region of Rías Baixas, Pazos de Lusco Albariño is a rich, smooth and expressive Spanish white wine.

The estate sits just two kilometres from the Portuguese border and surrounds the historic 16th-century Pazo Piñeiro. Its vineyards are traditionally trained using the pergola system, helping to maximise sun exposure and airflow.

This is a fuller, richer expression of Albariño, with aromas of fresh herbs, tropical fruit and floral notes. The palate is fresh and complex, with an unctuous, soft and refined texture. Its natural freshness makes it an excellent match for fish and shellfish, while it also works particularly well with asparagus.

🇪🇸 Mallorca – Son Vich de Superna Viognier

Aromatic, full-bodied and beautifully textured, Son Vich de Superna Viognier showcases the character of Mallorca through one of the world’s most expressive white grape varieties.

The historic Son Vich de Superna winery dates back to 1236 and combines traditional winemaking with both indigenous and international grape varieties. Fermentation begins in stainless steel before the wine is matured in French oak, with three months of bâtonnage followed by four months resting on fine lees.

The result is a rich and enveloping wine with aromas of violet, white flowers, citrus, laurel and clove, alongside subtle smoky oak. The palate is fleshy and harmonious, with dried fruit and almond notes. These then lead to a refreshing saline finish and balanced acidity.

An excellent choice for Mediterranean cuisine, pâté, white meats, nuts, rice dishes and grilled fish or fish in sauce.

🇪🇸 Ribera del Duero – Bodegas Resalte Lecco Crianza

A rich, smooth and elegant Ribera del Duero red wine made entirely from Tempranillo, Spain’s most famous red grape.

Bodegas Resalte was founded in 2000. It enjoys a reputation for quality-driven, boutique winemaking in Ribera del Duero. The Lecco range focuses on releasing mature wines that are ready to enjoy at their peak.

The grapes come from vines aged 30 years or more, planted across different soil types to create additional complexity and depth. After fermentation, the wine spends 14 months in oak, with 70% French oak and 30% American oak.

Rich, structured and smooth, this is a classic food-friendly Spanish red. It pairs particularly well with hearty dishes such as meaty paella.

🇪🇸 Rioja – El Meson Gran Reserva Rioja

A classic Rioja Gran Reserva offering depth, maturity and beautifully integrated oak character.

Produced by Barón de Ley, a vineyard-focused Rioja producer founded in 1985, El Meson reflects the estate’s approach to creating modern, structured and concentrated Rioja wines.

The wine spends a minimum of 24 months in American and French oak before a further minimum of 36 months maturing in bottle. This extended ageing gives it remarkable complexity, with a brilliant ruby-red colour showing hints of brick. It boasts aromas of toasted oak, coconut, red berries and dried raisins.

Rich, elegant and versatile, it is an ideal partner for roasted lamb, game and strong, mature cheeses.

🇪🇸 Priorat – Marco Abella Loidana

A vibrant and beautifully textured red from Priorat, one of Spain’s most renowned wine regions.

The Marco Abella family has been making wine in Priorat since the 15th century, with records tracing their presence in Porrera back to 1497. Loidana combines Garnacha and Cariñena with a touch of Cabernet Sauvignon. This creates a wine that balances ripe fruit with freshness and structure.

Grapes from different plots are fermented separately according to variety, soil type, orientation and altitude. Fermentation in concrete tanks helps preserve freshness and fruit character, followed by 8–10 months ageing in French oak.

Expect aromas of red and black fruit alongside flowers, cedar and spice. Smooth and velvety on the palate, it combines abundant tannins with impressive freshness and a vibrant finish. Enjoy with classic Spanish dishes, particularly meat paella.
