Marrone Barolo Bussia is a powerfully expressive Italian red, emblematic of its terroir and its producer. This is a Barolo with complex and intriguing aromas, of great charisma, and with spicy notes on the finish, the palate shows itself as full and immediately round.
Marrone has a rich history of tradition, always with an eye on the future. For over a century, four generations of this family have poured their passion, tenacity, and hard work into crafting fine wines.
This limited-production wine is the pinnacle of Agricola Marrone’s offerings, embodying the unique personality of its winemaking team.
Made using 100% hand-harvested Nebbiolo grapes from some of Marrone’s finest sites, this wine was aged in oak for 30 months after fermentation. Producers also conducted battonage on fine lees for the first ten months. Although drinking beautifully now, this powerful wine will reward many further years of careful cellaring.
Pure raspberry nose with hints of mint and oregano, and silky, elegant palate of fresh blueberry, aniseed, leather and tobacco notes carried by gorgeous sweet acidity.
Very long finish. Marrone Barolo Bussia is best with game, red meat, sauces and strong tasting dishes. It also shines alongside hints of truffles.
