This is a very good Argentine Malbec.
40% of the wine has maturated in oak barrels for 8 months softening the wine and imparting vanilla and leather characteristics. This full-bodied wine shows plenty of rich, ripe fruit, with plum and bramble on the nose and anise on the palate.
Pascual Toso has become one of the most exciting and promising Argentine wineries and remains faithful to its principles: Tradition, Authenticity and Innovation. Founded in 1890 (the same date that a certain wine merchant based in Soho was established!). Today they are one of the oldest and most prestigious wineries in Argentina. Toso has remained at the forefront of innovation and quality.
This is a great accompaniment to a good steak.
