Portia Verdejo DO Rueda is a refreshing, elegant Spanish white wine made in a groundbreaking winery designed by Sir Norman Foster.
Bodegas Portia is one of the most iconic wineries in Ribera del Duero, a perfect link between winemaking and architecture, a strategic union that provides the ideal place to create unique and different wines, where they work with a balanced technical and artistic flair.
Only premium Verdejo grape material forms part of this wonderfully balanced varietal wine from Bodegas Portia. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Once fermentation is complete, the Verdejo Rueda can continue to harmonise on the fine lees for a few months.
Enjoy Portia Verdejo DO Rueda with fish paella, risotto and mild creamy cheeses, but also as an aperitif.
It has a golden hue with greenish reflections. The nose is intense and complex, with notes of tropical fruit and bone, such as peach, with citrus touches and pleasant herbaceous notes.
In the mouth it is fine and elegant, with a very balanced passage, with slight bitter nuances. It has a long finish with herbaceous notes.
